Hi, I’m Chisara Okehi, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with over 15 years of experience helping women and children heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional overwhelm.
Many of my clients look like they’re holding it together on the outside, but inside they feel exhausted, anxious, stuck in survival mode, or weighed down by past experiences. Women often come to therapy after years of putting themselves last, navigating relationship wounds, chronic stress, or low self worth. I also support children and adolescents who may be struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, or the effects of stressful or traumatic events.
My approach is trauma informed, warm, and collaborative. I use evidence based therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT to help clients manage emotions, build coping skills, strengthen boundaries, and feel more grounded and confident.
Therapy with me is a space where you can finally breathe, feel supported, and begin moving forward with clarity and peace. You do not have to do this alone. When you’re ready, I’m here to help.
My approach to therapy is trauma informed, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe healing happens when you feel emotionally safe, deeply understood, and supported without judgment.
I work with women and children experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and emotional overwhelm. In our sessions, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable while focusing on both relief in the present and healing at the root.
I integrate evidence based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build coping skills, regulate emotions, process painful experiences, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of self.
Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you feel grounded, empowered, and supported as you create lasting change.
In your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and not judged. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you or your child have been experiencing recently.
I’ll ask gentle questions to better understand your concerns, history, and goals, but there is no pressure to share everything at once. The first session is about helping you feel comfortable, emotionally safe, and supported.
Together, we will begin identifying what you need most, whether that is relief from anxiety, support through depression, healing from trauma, or tools to help your child feel more grounded and secure.
You will leave the session with a clearer sense of next steps and the reassurance that you don’t have to do this alone.
