Great to meet you!

Welcome! Ahlan Wa Sahlan! I know how difficult it can be to begin this journey, so I'm glad you are here.

I am a bilingual (English & Arabic) LCSW, who is committed to supporting folks who are survivors of traumatic experiences as they navigate their healing journeys. I focus on providing care for migrants/refugees, children of migrants, women and femmes, and queer and trans people of color. Whether you are coming in with experiences of PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, or other trauma-related symptoms, I am delighted to navigate this road with you.

My approach to therapy

Each one of us comes into therapy with unique lived experiences, which means each person I work with deserves an approach that is uniquely tailored to them. That is why my therapeutic approach is, at the forefront, an eclectic one. I have received robust training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic psychotherapy, and I pride myself in coming together with you to incorporate these modalities into our treatment plan with your individual needs and goals in mind.

What you can expect from me

You can expect therapy with me to be open, warm, and curious. That means providing a safe container for all of your thoughts, feelings and experiences without shame. I am also a strong believer that none of us exist in isolation from the many systems surrounding us, so I always consider identity within the context of the world we live in. I also draw from my own life as a queer, immigrant woman of color.

Outside of my therapy practice, I consider myself a hobby enthusiast. Right now, I am enjoying crocheting, rock climbing, and furthering my yoga practice. I also value spending time with my loved ones and pouring back into my community.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

أشوفكم عن قريب إن شاء الله.
