Great to meet you!

With 25 years of experience, my approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique emotional and psychological struggles that young people encounter. My goal is to provide a supportive and safe environment where my clients can explore their concerns, build coping strategies, and develop the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives. My approach encourages a balance between emotional expression and building resilience, helping clients reframe their experiences and move forward with greater strength and understanding. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, validated, and supported in their journey toward healing and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each student. Whether it’s helping a student manage intrusive thoughts and compulsions through ERP, supporting emotional regulation through DBT, or addressing negative thought patterns with CBT, I am committed to equipping clients with the tools they need to overcome their obstacles.

I also recognize the importance of addressing the emotional and psychological impact of grief, and I provide specialized support for clients navigating loss and bereavement.

For students struggling with school avoidance, I work collaboratively with both the student and their family to develop strategies to re-engage with school in a gradual and manageable way. By combining therapeutic techniques with practical support, I help students feel empowered to face challenges both in and out of the classroom.

What you can expect from me

I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can openly express themselves, while also empowering families to work collaboratively toward healing and growth. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, (DBT)Family Systems Therapy, and trauma-informed care.

I understand the complexities of adolescence and the challenges families face in supporting their teens. Through a combination of individual therapy and family sessions, I help both teens and parents build stronger connections, improve communication, and develop the tools needed to navigate life's difficulties.

If you're seeking guidance for yourself or your child, my goal is to provide support, hope, and practical strategies for long-term mental health and wellbeing. I would be honored to support them in their path toward wellness and a brighter future.
