Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm A'layah Matamoros, PMHNP-BC, founder of Mariposa Integrative Psychiatry.

I’m someone who values honesty, communication, and creating meaningful relationships. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and helping them feel confident throughout the process. My goal is always to make clients feel heard, supported, and satisfied with the results.

I provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, supportive treatment, and medication management for adults throughout Florida via telehealth. My areas of focus include ADHD (including ADHD in women), anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep concerns, life transitions, stress management, and women's mental health.

Many of my patients come to me feeling overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, frustrated, or stuck. Whether you're struggling with focus and organization, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, low mood, burnout, sleep difficulties, or the challenges that come with major life changes, I'm here to provide a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.

I believe the best care happens when you feel comfortable, involved, and supported throughout your treatment journey. Together, we'll work to better understand your concerns, identify your goals, and create a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs and your life.

My approach to therapy

I believe mental health care should be personalized, collaborative, and centered around your unique experiences and goals.

I have a special interest in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, including ADHD in women, which is often overlooked or misunderstood. I also work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, sleep concerns, burnout, and life transitions that can impact overall well-being.

My approach focuses on understanding the whole person, not just the symptoms, and providing education that empowers you to make informed decisions about your care. In addition to evidence-based treatment options, I enjoy discussing lifestyle factors, nutrition, sleep habits, and supplements when appropriate, helping you build a personalized plan that supports both your mental and physical wellness.

What you can expect from me

Grab your favorite drink, get comfortable, and come just as you are.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about what has been on your mind, and explore what you hope to gain from treatment. Many of my patients share that our sessions feel natural, comfortable, and easy to settle into—like talking with someone who genuinely knows them and wants to see them succeed.

I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing openly, asking questions, and being yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together to better understand your needs and create a plan that feels right for you.

As my favorite saying goes, healing and growth happens minute by minute. No matter where you are today, you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm here to walk alongside you with compassion, support, and encouragement every step of the way.
