Great to meet you!

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade in education, including six years as a middle and high school counselor. That experience taught me something I still carry into therapy today: everyone brings a story with them, and feeling genuinely understood can make a powerful difference.

Today, I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship and family challenges, grief, and major life transitions. I provide a warm, encouraging space where you can be yourself while also doing meaningful work toward change. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected in your relationships, or simply ready for something to be different, we'll work together to understand what's getting in the way, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools for moving forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation where you can be yourself, not a place where you have to say the “right” thing. My style is collaborative, encouraging, and solution-oriented. I'll meet you with compassion, but I'll also help you look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And when appropriate, there's room for humor too. Therapy can involve serious work without every moment feeling heavy.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Couples Therapy, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we'll focus on your goals and develop practical strategies you can actually use outside of our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been most difficult lately, and what you'd like to be different. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly where to begin.

You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, and help us identify a direction that feels meaningful to you. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop healthier ways of coping and communicating, and create realistic steps toward the changes you want to make.
