Aaron Capen

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who also happens to be a husband of 22 years and father of five. I received my Master's in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University following a 24 year career in the military. I love my second career and enjoy working with clients who are experiencing difficulties related to family, relationships, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.

I start by getting to know my clients on a personal level. While I use interventions from many different modalities, I see them through a psychodynamic lens, paying attention to attachment and core beliefs that affect them.

Clients can expect safety and acceptance, not judgment. I also want each person I meet to feel seen and heard.
