Great to meet you!

Aaron, a licensed psychologist, and his two daughters, transplants from Southern California, are newly part of a beautiful blended family in Maryland where, when not chasing after their five children, both he and his wife run therapy practices.

He graduated with degrees in both psychology and Biblical literature, earned advanced degrees in clinical psychology, and has pursued advanced training in applied behavioral analysis, a modality well-suited to the treatment of children and adolescents.

A bit about my approach to therapy

For twenty plus years, he has worked to develop competence across the spectrum of client concerns, maintains a collaborative approach, and tends to rely on research-based methods of change.

He has expertise in the assessment and treatment of anxiety-based disorders, ADHD, and autism but believes the relationship itself is an essential ingredient to and catalyst for change.

He has demonstrated successes with adolescents, and warmly welcomes couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan.

What you can expect from our first session

Because he believes that science supports the notion of ‘therapeutic fit,’ that is, you really gotta like the style and approach of the person with whom you work, he insists on a therapeutic ‘try out.’

And because the goals/directions of therapy are essentially client-determined, client-defined, and client-driven, Aaron takes pride in his demonstrated ability to, much like an architect, design and build therapy around the unique needs, wants, tolerances, and strengths of his individual clients.

Aaron's style is
