Aaron Shipman-Negrete (he, him, él) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who has been serving the people of Colorado since 2001. He began his career mentoring and counseling youth and young adults in nonprofit and faith-based nonprofits in 1992. He has worked in the field of public health since 2006, specializing in working with people living with HIV, STIs, and Viral Hepatitis. Aaron is a Certified Master Trainer and holds a Training and Development Diploma through Langevin Learning Services. He has written curriculum for the Centers for Disease Control and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. He has facilitated training of evidence-based interventions and interpersonal skills at the state and national level to support providers in AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to effectively deliver prevention, care, and treatment services. A dynamic and energetic speaker, he has led workshops and given keynote addresses at national conferences. Aaron received a BA in Spanish and a BA in Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He studied at the Claremont School of Theology where he completed the coursework for certification in the United Methodist Church as a Director of Youth Ministries and studied at Princeton Theological Seminary completing the certification in Youth and Theology. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver.
