Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Columbia, Missouri, with over a decade of experience helping children, teens, adults, and seniors find steadier ground. I bring warmth and a bit of humor to sessions, and believes therapy should feel like a place of comfort and acceptance, not one more thing to get through.

My approach to therapy

I work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, postpartum and perinatal mood changes, and the everyday stress of relationships and family life. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, choosing the approach that fits each client rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. Sessions are collaborative and strength-based: I listens first, help clients name their goals, and work alongside them with practical tools they can use between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation, not an interview: I will ask what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping changes. From there we build a plan together, whether that means processing a specific trauma, working through anxiety or depression, adjusting to a new baby, or navigating a tough family season. I sees clients by telehealth Monday through Friday and welcome questions by phone or email before you even book.
