Great to meet you!

In a vast amount of therapists, we all tend to become a blur. Odds are you are looking for someone who can relate to you.

I've been where you are. Lost. Maybe alone. Maybe searching. Maybe confused. Maybe just wanting to be heard, seen, or noticed. While we each have our own unique journey, we share common stories. We share feelings- hurt, sadness, anger, loneliness, shame, guilt, and joy. We share the desire to tell our story and be heard, even comforted, and to maybe learn that we aren't alone out there. Living in a cycle of shame, or fear, steals our joy for life and leads us feeling isolated and alone. You are not alone.

Did you grow up thinking something was wrong with you? Did you try and get away only to find that no matter how far away you got you kept taking yourself with you? Did you do anything you could to try and make it stop? Change your body? Scrutinize every thing you did? Only to end up with yourself at the end of the day wondering if you would ever escape yourself?

What if someone told you that there was nothing wrong with you in the first place. You learned to mask. You learned to detach. You learned how to fawn, people please, and shut down to escape.

My approach to therapy

No matter where you are today, there is a journey that brought you here. Our stories are often riddled with loss, moments of taking our spark and hiding it, turning it off, and efforts to fit in. Often no one has taken those moments to be there to ask why, how, look at what you might have needed. That's where we learn to survive and less how to thrive. We burn our nervous system out because it wasn't given the opportunity to learn to feel safe. My approach to therapy is to rebuild. Everything you did to get to where you are makes sense in context, even the ugly. My approach is to help you navigate no longer feeling like you are the problem.

What you can expect from me

I hope you feel seen. I hope you feel that someone is there with you interested in hearing your story. Too often curiosity is lost. We don't seek out therapy because life is thriving. We seek out therapy when we no longer have a choice and have to admit something is falling apart. I hope you feel safe enough to take the first steps towards untangling how you get where you are. It can get better!
