Hi, I’m Abby. I work with adults, especially LGBTQ+ adults, whose anxiety or depression can feel overwhelming and often showing up at the worst possible times and leaving you feeling out of control of your own mind and body. If you're navigating perfectionism, people-pleasing, feeling like you're “adulthood wrong,” or questioning parts of yourself, I’d be like to support you.
I take an approach of being very curious about the different parts of ourselves that come up and work to understand them with compassion rather than judgement. These thoughts and behavior patterns may have served an important role once might need to be adapted to who you are now, so lets be curious about them rather than hard on ourselves.
I like to start with a brief phone call so we can get to know each other a bit before scheduling an intake session. I understand that building trust takes time and we’ll move at whatever pace feels right for you. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and centered around what matters most to you.
Our work together will focus on identifying and working toward your personal goals, with each session tailored to your unique needs and to helping you better recognize and care for your emotional experience. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to find what fits best for you, with an emphasis on connecting with and regulating emotions through the body rather than trying to think your way out of anxiety spirals.
You can book a 15 minute consultation call and we can discuss what questions you have or you can email me at [email protected].
