Great to meet you!

Finding the right mental health provider should feel like finding someone who truly listens, not someone who simply checks symptoms off a list. I’m a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, mood concerns, attention difficulties, and other mental health challenges.

My background includes years of experience in mental health and healthcare leadership, along with academic training at UCLA in psychology, medicine, and human behavior. This combination has shaped how I practice: I look beyond a diagnosis to understand the biological, psychological, social, and life experiences that may be affecting how you feel.

I especially value creating a space where people from different backgrounds feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing mental health. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. My goal is not simply to prescribe medication, but to help you understand your symptoms, discuss your options, and make treatment decisions together.

My approach to therapy

I believe good psychiatric care starts with listening. Before recommending treatment, I want to understand what you are experiencing, how it is affecting your daily life, and what you want to change.

When medication may be helpful, I’ll explain the options, expected benefits, potential side effects, and alternatives so we can make an informed decision together. Treatment is individualized rather than one-size-fits-all, and we’ll regularly evaluate what is working and adjust when needed. I also incorporate supportive and evidence-based therapeutic strategies when appropriate.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to understand the full picture. We’ll talk about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, relationships, stressors, sleep, substance use, and other experiences that may be affecting your mental health.

You’ll also have time to ask questions and tell me what you hope to accomplish through treatment. By the end of the visit, my goal is for you to have a clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms and a practical treatment plan that we developed together.
