I am Abel Bueno González, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is deeply committed to providing supportive and compassionate mental health care to adolescents and adults. I understand that reaching out for help can be a vulnerable step, and I approach every client with empathy, respect, and genuine care. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences without fear of judgment. I have experience working in community mental health, outpatient psychiatry, and telehealth settings, and I enjoy helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and life transitions.
My approach to care is collaborative and person-centered. I integrate evidence-based medication management with therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. I focus on helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, while also identifying strengths, goals, and practical solutions that can be applied in daily life. I believe in working together to develop a treatment plan that feels realistic, empowering, and aligned with your personal goals.
During your first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and supportive environment. We will discuss what brings you to treatment, your current symptoms, relevant personal and medical history, and what you hope to gain from care. You are encouraged to share at your own pace. I will explain my approach, answer your questions, and discuss treatment options, including therapy strategies and medication when appropriate. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps.
