Great to meet you!
I studied at Colorado State University Pueblo for my bachelor's degree in social work and Western New Mexico University for my master's in social work. I got an emphasis in school social work at Western New Mexico. I have a lot of experience working with adolescents and teens. I have also worked a lot with adults on issues like depression and helping them navigate finding their true passion in life and going after what they want, no matter how old they are or what they have been through in the past. I have worked for the past 7 years providing therapy for a variety of different ages and populations. I want to help people be their best selves and succeed in whatever they are passionate about.
I have always loved helping and working with people. I did several jobs in high school and college that helped me narrow down my career path as I got older. I worked as a caregiver for seniors, I worked at a center for children with learning disabilities, at after-school programs, as an assistant director at a camp, and at the YMCA in children's programs. I felt like working with people was very inspiring, invigorating, and rewarding. When I took my first intro to social work class in college, I fell in love with social work immediately and never looked back. I love the variety of different people I get to serve on a daily basis, and I wake up every day knowing every single day is going to be different, and I have to tackle new challenges constantly. It keeps me on my toes, and I learn new things daily.
