Great to meet you!

Hello there! My name is Abigail Danns and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augusta University and a master’s degree in Social Work from Walden University. My career has given me the privilege of supporting people through life’s most challenging moments, from hospital and hospice care to helping children and families navigate daily struggles. These experiences have shaped my compassionate and down-to-earth approach to therapy.

I work with teens and adults facing ADHD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, academic challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood while building practical coping tools that fit your life.

I love this work because it’s deeply rewarding to provide a safe space for others—a place where you can be yourself, explore challenges without judgment, and find hope for the future. Together, we’ll focus on your strengths and create a path toward healing, resilience, and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, compassion, and practical tools to help you move forward. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can process challenges, explore your strengths, and build coping strategies that truly fit your life and goals.

What you can expect from me

It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous before starting therapy. In our first session, we’ll take things at your pace. My focus will be on getting to know you, understanding what brought you here, and learning about your goals and challenges. I’ll also share more about my style and how we can work together. This first conversation isn’t about fixing everything right away—it’s about building comfort and trust, and giving you space to feel heard. By the end, we’ll begin to outline a plan that feels manageable and tailored to your needs.
