Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Abbey! I'm a licensed clinical social worker in California. After four years of working in substance abuse treatment, I am excited to expand the ways I can support people in their healing journeys by starting a part-time private practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach centers on creating a space where you can truly be yourself. Clients often tell me I have a way of making them feel at ease, even when discussing the hardest parts of their lives. I love to individualize my approach for each client to figure out what works for them and I have experience utilizing cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, motivational interviewing, internal family systems, and narrative techniques.

My years in substance abuse treatment taught me that healing isn't linear and that everyone's path looks different. Whether you're navigating addiction, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I bring patience, warmth, and a deep respect for your resilience.

What you can expect from me

I consider the first session a big “get to know you” interview where we go over your mental health history, family background, and what is bringing you to therapy.
