Abigail Middleton is a licensed clinical social worker, trained at Boston College and in the greater Boston area. Abigail has worked in individual and group therapy, medical and school settings, and in supervisory roles for over ten years. Abigail works with clients on topics including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. Prior to her career shift to social work, Abigail spent her twenties doing peacebuilding work in war torn countries in East and Southern Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

My approach to therapy

Abigail believes in holding hope for her clients, walking with clients on journeys of healing from trauma, and many other issues. Using a mix of compassion, curiosity, direct questions, and solution focus, Abigail prioritizes client goals in order to move toward healing.

In our first session, we will focus on your goals for therapy, and make a plan of how to prioritize your each step. We will start with what feels most urgent or where you feel the most acute symptoms, and jump into the work together.
