Abi Frields

Abi Frields is a board certified Pyschiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping others meet their individual goals. Her nursing career started in 2014 on an inpatient psychiatric unit. She completed her Master's degree in 2018 and moved to Oupatient Psychiatry and Consult Liaison services. For the last 7 years she has worked in Addiction Psychiatry and Dual Diagnosis settings, focusing on medication management, harm reduction, and decreasing barriers to high quality care.

At Clear Path Mental Health, Abi provides compassionate, individualized care to adults (18+) throughout the state of Illinois. She believes in slowing down and focusing on the individual, rather than metrics or quotas. She provides longer appointment times than most traditional clinics and believes in shared decision-making and combining medication management with therapy for a holistic approach to care. Abi treats a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders with a special interest in Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and Addiction.

At Clear Path Mental Health all of our providers are dedicated to providing privacy and accuracy. That is why we never use AI transcription or recording for our appointments. While Headway does utilize AI for chart audits, you can rest assured that AI will never be documenting in your Electronic Medical Record.

During the first visit you can expect a supportive, therapeutic environment and thorough assessment, with plenty of time to talk about the reasons you are seeking care. Together we'll come up with treatment goals and a pace that feels comfortable for you. We'll wrap up the visit with evidenced-based treatment recommendations and ensure your questions are addressed.
