Great to meet you!

My name is Abraham Ambriz and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have been serving the most vulnerable and at risk youth and families in a therapeutic outpatient setting for 7 years. I am a bilingual therapist and serve my community with diverse backgrounds, complex mental health needs, and cultural and generational issues. I will currently focus my practice with adults, and teens/parents via telehealth.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to seek an understanding of your life experiences and use cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic and family frameworks to help you achieve your goals. I believe the sensitivity, outgoing, and warm approach I immediately provide helps me connect with individuals and families to form a strong therapeutic alliance to collaboratively tackle anything in therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Someone who truly listens and validates that will honor your feelings, and help you process and make sense of your experiences. I will routinely assess your comfort, trust and readiness to challenge you on the skills and goals you come to work on and learn so you can effectively apply them and progress. The goal is to support you with whatever it is you need to manage the quality of life you wish to have; whether that takes two sessions or twenty, I'm here for you.
