Great to meet you!

If you've told your story more than once and still feel like no one's really heard it, I want to change that. I'm Abreia Epps, a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina with four years in individual, family, and play therapy. I earned my education specialist degree from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in couples and families. I work with adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, identity issues, relationship issues, and the cultural and ethnic layers underneath them. If you're ready to be heard, I'd love to talk.

My approach to therapy

I focus on your emotions first, not a diagnosis, and trace them back to the attachment patterns and family roles that shaped them. My approach blends Emotion Focused Therapy, attachment-based work, and systemic, family-centered therapy, so couples and families can learn to actually hear each other again, and individuals can separate who they were taught to be from who they are. I also work with clients managing ADD/ADHD and stress management, helping you build emotional balance and a stronger sense of self along the way.

What you can expect from me

I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck in the same place for too long, whether that shows up as anxiety, trauma, depression, or strain in your closest relationships. Together we'll sit in those feelings, understand where they come from, and build toward real change, not just coping. My goal is for you to leave stuck behind and move toward the healthy, connected relationships and life you actually want.
