Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of nursing experience prior to earning my graduate degree in psychiatric mental health. My background as a registered nurse provided me with a strong foundation in patient-centered care and has shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to mental health treatment.

For more than two years, I worked at the inpatient psychiatric unit at Providence Medical Center, where I cared for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Many of the patients I treated struggled with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders. This experience strengthened my clinical skills and deepened my understanding of complex psychiatric conditions.

I currently work as a per diem psychiatric provider, primarily providing psychiatric consultation services. In this role, I collaborate with medical teams to care for individuals with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. Working with patients who face both physical and mental health challenges has broadened my clinical perspective and helped me become a more well-rounded clinician.

Most recently, I joined King County Public Health, where I continue to serve diverse populations and expand my experience in community mental health care.

My approach to treatment is rooted in compassion, patience, and respect. I believe that every individual deserves to be heard and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I work collaboratively with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals, helping them move toward improved mental wellness and overall quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I take a compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered approach to care. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. My experience in inpatient psychiatry has provided extensive training in treating complex mental health conditions, including psychosis, mood disorders, and suicidal crises.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy. I work closely with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and goals. My experience in psychiatric consultation has also strengthened my ability to care for individuals with co-occurring medical and mental health conditions. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their recovery.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. Together, we develop individualized treatment plans with goals such as symptom reduction, improved daily functioning, emotional stability, healthier coping skills, and an overall better quality of life. My goal is to help clients gain the tools and confidence needed to achieve lasting mental wellness and reach their personal goals.
