Great to meet you!
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years of nursing experience prior to earning my graduate degree in psychiatric mental health. My background as a registered nurse provided me with a strong foundation in patient-centered care and has shaped my compassionate and holistic approach to mental health treatment.
For more than two years, I worked at the inpatient psychiatric unit at Providence Medical Center, where I cared for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Many of the patients I treated struggled with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders. This experience strengthened my clinical skills and deepened my understanding of complex psychiatric conditions.
I currently work as a per diem psychiatric provider, primarily providing psychiatric consultation services. In this role, I collaborate with medical teams to care for individuals with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions. Working with patients who face both physical and mental health challenges has broadened my clinical perspective and helped me become a more well-rounded clinician.
Most recently, I joined King County Public Health, where I continue to serve diverse populations and expand my experience in community mental health care.
My approach to treatment is rooted in compassion, patience, and respect. I believe that every individual deserves to be heard and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I work collaboratively with my patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals, helping them move toward improved mental wellness and overall quality of life.
