Great to meet you!

As an independently licensed professional counselor, counselor educator, and supervisor, I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, supported, and accepted. I've been practicing for 15 years and hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a doctorate in Counselor Education, and a Fellowship in Thanatology with specialized expertise in grief and loss. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and someone with AuDHD, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work. My goal is to create a warm, affirming environment where you can show up as your authentic self and move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, your experiences, and your strengths. My approach is grounded in person-centered and humanistic counseling, which means I strive to create a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up authentically and feel genuinely heard. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build on the resilience you already possess. I have particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating grief, loss, identity exploration, life transitions, and personal growth. Above all, I believe meaningful change happens through connection, self-compassion, and a therapeutic relationship built on trust.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe you are not broken and do not need to be "fixed"; instead, therapy is a space to better understand yourself, your experiences, and what you want for your life. We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, explore your goals, and identify what meaningful progress would look like for you. Together, we'll create a shared understanding of what you hope to gain from therapy so you can feel confident about the direction of our work and recognize when you've reached the goals that matter most to you.
