Great to meet you!

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood changes, stress, or other mental health concerns, finding the right provider can make a meaningful difference. I understand that reaching out for help can feel difficult, and I want you to know that you deserve to be heard and supported. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over eight years of nursing experience, including behavioral health, psychiatric assessment, and crisis intervention, I bring compassion and understanding to every interaction. I enjoy helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, better understand their symptoms, and explore treatment options that align with their needs. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story and taking steps toward improved well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw on supportive therapy, psychoeducation, therapeutic communication, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-informed strategies when appropriate to help patients understand their symptoms and develop healthier ways of coping. During sessions, I may use psychoeducation to explain mental health conditions and treatment options, supportive techniques to explore emotional concerns, and CBT-informed strategies to identify connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My experience in psychiatric assessment, behavioral health, crisis intervention, and supervised psychotherapy training has strengthened my understanding of individualized mental health care. I believe treatment should be tailored to each person's needs, preferences, and goals. When appropriate, medication management may be incorporated into the treatment plan. My goal is to help patients feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a structured but welcoming conversation designed to help us understand your needs and begin building a therapeutic relationship. We will start with introductions and discuss what brings you to treatment and what you hope to achieve. I will then ask about your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, and any concerns affecting your daily life. You will have time to share your experiences, ask questions, and express your preferences. We will review relevant findings, discuss appropriate treatment options, and identify next steps together. Depending on your needs, this may include medication management, supportive strategies, or additional evaluation. You are always encouraged to participate in decisions about your care. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and confident about moving forward.
