Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Adam Korick, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing telehealth psychiatric care to adolescents and adults throughout California. My background includes several years as a registered nurse caring for patients in hospital settings, as well as experience as a nursing educator, where I've had the privilege of helping train future nurses.

I believe the best mental health care begins with listening. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and involved in every treatment decision. I take the time to understand not only your symptoms but also your personal experiences, strengths, and goals.

I provide evidence-based medication management combined with supportive psychotherapy, and I work collaboratively with each client to develop a treatment plan that fits their individual needs. Whether you're seeking help for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, OCD, or other mental health challenges, my focus is on helping you achieve meaningful, lasting improvement.

Seeking help can be a difficult first step, and I strive to make that process as comfortable as possible. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward better mental health.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the best mental health care is built on trust, collaboration, and open communication. My approach is centered on understanding each person's unique experiences, challenges, and goals rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. Together, we'll develop a treatment plan that is individualized, evidence-based, and aligned with what matters most to you.

I combine medication management with supportive psychotherapy and education, helping clients better understand their symptoms and treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout your mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, we'll take time to get to know one another. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, mental health history, medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals to develop a comprehensive understanding of your experience.

We'll discuss any diagnoses that may be appropriate, review treatment options—including whether medication may be beneficial—and create an initial plan together. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, and I want you to leave the appointment with a clear understanding of the next steps. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident that we're working together toward meaningful progress.
