Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia, and my focus is on helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Over the years I have worked in a variety of settings, from crisis intervention to outpatient therapy, which means I am comfortable meeting people wherever they are in their journey.

I work with kids, teens, and adults (ages 9 and up) and specialize in supporting those struggling with depression, anxiety, and the stress that comes with daily life. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I want you to feel comfortable opening up while also leaving each session with tools you can use in real life.

My approach to therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) often, since it gives people practical tools to understand their thoughts and feelings and make real changes in daily life. At the same time, I know every person is different, so I bring in other approaches depending on what will work best for you.

Most importantly, I believe the relationship between therapist and client is the key to making progress. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and start building the skills and confidence to grow.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our sessions to feel calm, supportive, and focused on what matters most to you. We will work together to set goals that feel meaningful and realistic, and I will help you build a plan to move toward them.

Over time, my hope is that you leave therapy with new skills, fresh perspectives, and a stronger sense of self-compassion. Many clients also find that their relationships improve as they learn healthier ways to cope, communicate, and care for themselves.
