Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over nine years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s emotional challenges and difficult issues. Therapy can feel intimidating at first, but you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. I am here to support and guide you through a process that can be rewarding and beneficial towards growth, healing, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself.

I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, and that is something I take seriously. My professional experience working in healthcare, addiction, and homelessness has deepened my understanding of the complex social, cultural and systemic factors that impact mental health and well-being. I am an advocate for human rights and stand with those who have faced oppression, discrimination, and social injustice in a world that works against you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empathetic, warm, understanding, empowering, and authentic. I draw from my clinical training to tailor each session to what you bring. I care about tracking progress by using clinical and measurable tools. I believe in using evidence-based practice such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, and solution focused therapy. I strongly believe therapy should feel like a real, genuine conversation with someone, and not just a checklist. Whether you are working through anxiety, processing a major life change, or trying to understand yourself better, I believe that each person goes through challenges differently, and should therefore receive a personalized therapeutic experience. Healing is an ongoing process, and I am here to listen, offer clinical insight, and help empower you through this journey.

What you can expect from me

I offer compassionate therapy with a nonjudgmental approach. I meet you wherever you are at in your life and offer a calm demeanor with a mindful engagement. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort that centers around you, your needs, and your goals. My experience keeps me grounded in the realities of what people are navigating day to day. You can expect a warm welcome with transparency and tranquility.
