Great to meet you!

I have over 25 years of clinical social work experience. Since earning my Masters in Social Work in 2001, I have continued to develop my expertise in helping individuals navigate trauma, addictions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and overall wellness. In addition to my private practice, I have serve over 15 years a Senior Clinical Social Worker with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. I have gained extensive experiences that have deepened my understanding of the challenges people can face when trying to heal, grow and create greater fulfillment in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful change begins with understanding yourself which allows you to recognize your strengths and develop practical tools for moving forward with the transformation you wish to achieve in your life. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore changes, build confidence and work towards greater self-growth and fulfillment. Depending on each individual's needs and goals, I like to incorporate techniques such as mindfulness, journaling, identifying supportive relationships and resources, and developing inner strengths and resilience.

What you can expect from me

That we explore what brings you to therapy and if you have been in therapy before what was your experience like? In past therapy experiences, what seemed to work well and what did not? What are the expectations for yourself in therapy? What questions might you have for me as a therapist?
