Great to meet you!

I am Adaoma Ejimbe, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in outpatient and correctional mental health care. My experience in some of the most complex psychiatric environments has shaped my ability to meet patients without judgment and build care around trust, dignity, and genuine connection. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and am currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). My practice centers on comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment planning, with a focus on depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions. My approach is holistic and person-centered — I believe healing involves the whole person, not just symptoms, and I bring that philosophy to every appointment. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or simply looking for a provider who will truly listen, I welcome you and look forward to working with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is grounded in servant leadership and genuine human connection. I believe that effective care begins with asking "What do you need?" — listening first, then acting. I view the care relationship as reciprocal: it shapes both the patient and the provider. Drawing on a non-judgmental, trauma-informed lens, I hold that every person deserves dignity and quality care regardless of their choices or circumstances. Ultimately, I believe that compassionate care starts from within; when I invest in my own self-awareness and growth, I am better equipped to show up fully for the people I serve.

What you can expect from me

From the very first session, clients can expect to be met with warmth, respect, and a non-judgmental presence. The initial visit is focused on building a therapeutic working relationship a foundation of trust that makes meaningful care possible. Together, we will explore what brought you in, what matters most to you, and what you hope to achieve. By the end of the first session, we will begin establishing collaborative treatment goals that reflect your unique needs, values, and vision for your own well-being. You will leave feeling heard, not just assessed.
