Great to meet you!

I am a warm and supportive counselor with over 16 years of experience helping people from all walks of life. My background in counseling psychology, criminal justice, sociology, and communication allows me to understand both personal struggles and the larger life circumstances that can shape them. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow, heal, and move toward meaningful, realistic goals.

My approach to therapy

I focus on helping clients find practical solutions while building on their existing strengths. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that affect emotions and behavior. I also use Motivational Interviewing, a supportive approach that helps strengthen your confidence and internal motivation for change. My goal is to create a structured but compassionate space where you feel supported in making steady, lasting progress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to counseling. We’ll talk about your goals, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your situation and ensure we’re a good fit. You can expect a respectful, supportive conversation that sets the foundation for meaningful work moving forward.
