Dr. Adefemi Taiwo, MD is a dual board‐certified Psychiatrist and Addiction Medicine specialist based in Austin, TX . He earned his medical degree from the University of Lagos College of Medicine in 2007 and completed his Psychiatry residency (2013–2017) at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship at Yale VA Addiction Psychiatry program between 2017 and 2018.

My approach to therapy

Dr Taiwo offers a mix of medication management and therapy. Dr Taiwo’s approach to clinical practice is based on a collaborative model with his patients being center stage, he seeks to involve them in their treatment decisions. Dr. Taiwo is known for embracing cutting‐edge neurostimulation therapies, offering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravato (esketamine) and has worked previously in clinics that offer this treatment approach.
