Adefolakemi (Fola) Adesanya

Hello, my name is Adefolakemi Adesanya but feel free to call me Fola. I truly love being an LPC because it gives me the opportunity to help others identify their power within and learn effective tools to help them grow into productive individuals. I work at a phenomenal practice that cares about the well being of each and every client.

I have experience working with diverse clients of various ages who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and also low self- esteem. My goal is to help all clients learn effective skills to help them improve their lives.

As a clinician, I take time to get to know clients and understand tings from their perspective. I use a lot of CBT, DBT and also an eclectic holistic theoretical approach with my clients. My encourage my clients to ask questions along the ways so that I can help clarify any misunderstandings they may have about implementing a skill. I take pride in encouraging and motivating my clients to tap into their inner strength as they accomplish their goals.

My clients can expect to take away an understanding of the importance of grace as they learn to forgive themselves for past mistakes, cognitive reframing skills to teach them how to positively respond to negative thinking, and also a greater sense of understanding the things we actually have control of and learning to be ok with it
