Hi, my name is Akins NP. I am an experienced psychiatric and mental health provider serving Virginia and DC Metro. I graduated with my master’s degree from George Washington University. I have strong expertise in conducting a thorough assessment, diagnosis and drawing treatment plans for my clients. I provide medication management services, educate my clients and prescribe psychoactive medications that best address your mental health needs and lifestyle. I also provide psychotherapy services.

I serve school age kids starting from age 6, adolescents and adults with ADHD, Autism, Depression, Bipolar disorders, Anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD, and life's stress. Your psychiatric medications are chosen and managed carefully having safety, effectiveness, and evidence-based practice in mind and are oftentimes combined with therapies.
