Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctoral degree in Leadership in mental health and human services from Houston Christian University. My journey in this field spans over six years, during which I’ve had the privilege of working with children, teens, and adults from various backgrounds. Together, we’ve faced challenges such as anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. Before starting my private practice, I gained meaningful experience in schools, community mental health clinics, and nonprofit organizations. These experiences deepened my understanding of how social and economic factors influence emotional well-being, especially in marginalized communities. I take an integrative approach to counseling, blending cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and solution-focused strategies. This allows us to explore your thoughts and emotions while developing practical tools tailored to your unique journey. I particularly resonate with supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed or uncertain about their paths. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel respected and empowered to heal and grow. I understand that taking the first step toward seeking therapy can be daunting, but please know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. I’m here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My therapy approach is collaborative and client-centered, grounded in respect for your unique story. I believe in your inner strength to overcome challenges, and my role is to help you unlock that potential and develop the skills needed for a fulfilling life. Each session is customized to your specific needs, as healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. I create a safe, supportive space for you to navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions. I also prioritize cultural sensitivity, honoring your background and values, and empowering you to make meaningful changes at your own pace while providing honest feedback and practical tools.

What you can expect from me

Clients will leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools for life's challenges. My mission is to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, transforming that insight into meaningful action and growth. Most importantly, you'll gain a stronger sense of who you are and how to move forward with purpose. Therapy with me focuses on progress and self-discovery, guiding you to show up for yourself meaningfully.
