Great to meet you!

I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP, MSN) specializing in anxiety in adults. One thing that sets my practice apart is that I can offer both medication management and therapeutic support — so if you're wondering whether medication might be part of your care, or you'd rather explore therapy first, we can figure that out together without needing a second provider. I take a whole-person approach, which means I'm as interested in your life as I am in your symptoms. The best outcomes happen when you feel genuinely understood and like an active participant in your own care — not just someone things are being done to.

My approach to therapy

My practice is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which I find to be one of the most honest and practical frameworks for anxiety. ACT doesn't promise to make anxious thoughts disappear — instead, it helps you change your relationship to them, so they have less power over your choices. We'll work on building psychological flexibility: the ability to notice what's happening internally without being controlled by it, and to take meaningful action toward what actually matters to you. This approach tends to resonate especially with people who feel like anxiety is running their life even when, rationally, they know their fears may be out of proportion.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting the full picture. I'll ask about your symptoms, history, life circumstances, and goals — because context matters enormously in mental health care. We'll also discuss whether medication might be worth exploring, or whether a therapy-focused approach feels like the right fit. My goal is for you to leave that first appointment feeling heard, with a clear sense of what we're working toward — not overwhelmed, and not left guessing about next steps.
