Adia Banks

Hello! My name is Adia Banks, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 10 years experience in healthcare and mental health. I specialize in depression, trauma, burnout, stress, and adjustment disorders. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients reframe their unwanted thoughts/behaviors. Together, we will explore what changes you want for yourself and make a plan to get you there.

I specialize in working with people feeling overwhelmed and isolated. I help clients make sense of the negative thoughts and help them build their motivation to achieve their treatment goals. Together we will work to understand how your thoughts and feelings influence your behaviors. We will develop tools to help manage negative thought patterns and practice how to implement these tools to help you achieve your goals.

I will help you process the problem you are facing without alienating you. I will work with you to build a toolbox of coping skills to deal with the issue you are facing. We will work collaboratively to create a framework of goals for you to become your best self.
