Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Dr. Adina Chesir, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, OCD, and other related concerns. I also have expertise in parent coaching for parents of children with anxiety and behavioral challenges. I work with children, teens, and adults who feel stuck in patterns of stress, overthinking, or avoidance that are hard to break. My approach is practical and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we focus on both understanding what’s keeping you stuck and building concrete tools to help you respond differently so that anxiety has less control over your day-to-day life.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is warm, validating, and conversational. I want you to feel comfortable sharing what’s on your mind without judgment while we work together to better understand your experience. I focus on helping you build real, usable tools and identify your strengths so you can be an active participant in shaping meaningful change in your life. I invite you to explore my website to get a better sense of how I work: www.dradinachesir.com

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for me to get to know you and for you to get a feel for what it’s like to work with me. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to be different. We’ll work together to come up with goals that feel meaningful to you and create a plan for working toward them. As we go, we’ll regularly check in on how things are going and measure your progress so we can make sure therapy is actually helping and adjust our approach when needed. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and like we have a good sense of where to go from here.
