Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Adis Orta, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I have experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, grief and loss, self-esteem and confidence, workplace stress and burnout, and the emotional impact of career and life changes. I also have a particular interest in helping people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next find greater clarity and confidence in themselves and their decisions.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches while tailoring our work to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand what you're experiencing, develop tools to navigate challenges, and create meaningful and sustainable change.

Whether you're working through a specific challenge or simply know that something needs to change, you don't have to figure it out alone. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can be honest, explore what is getting in the way, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged, rushed, or pressured to have all the answers.

Together, we’ll explore what is bringing you to therapy, identify patterns or challenges that may be affecting you, and develop practical strategies that support your goals. I draw from evidence-based approaches and tailor our work to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I also believe that insight is important, but it should translate into meaningful change. Depending on what you need, our work may focus on building confidence, managing anxiety and stress, navigating relationships or life transitions, strengthening boundaries, processing difficult experiences, or developing healthier ways of coping.

My role is not to tell you what you should do. It is to provide a supportive space, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective and tools, and help you make choices that feel aligned with who you are and the life you want to build.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re experiencing, what you would like support with, and what you hope to get from therapy.

I’ll ask questions about your current concerns as well as relevant areas of your life and history so I can better understand the bigger picture. We’ll also talk about your goals and begin identifying where therapy may be most helpful.

Just as importantly, the first session is a chance for you to get a sense of what it’s like to work with me. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out, and you don’t need to know exactly what you want to say. We can start wherever you are.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward together.
