Great to meet you!

My name is Adrian Burden and I have been working in the mental health/social work field for about 20 years. I have a bachelor's degree with a double major in Psychology and a MS in Counseling and Psychology. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes that each individual is unique and deserves to have a plan catered to their unique needs. I am honored by the opportunity to be a part of helping each person become a better version of themselves as we together peel back the layers and put a plan in action to get the outcomes they desire. My areas of expertise include substance abuse, trauma, and healthy relationships. I have also been successful in assisting people with general anxiety, depression, and grief.

My approach to therapy

I would say that I approach therapy much like a mama bird. I am very straightforward but warm at the same time. I believe therapy is a self-investment so I challenge my clients to invest in themselves by putting in the work to reach their goals. I would also venture to say I am a great accountability partner with holding each client accountable to their identified goals.

What you can expect from me

My clients can expect to take away practical solutions that they can implement in their daily lives, I also use a lot of metaphors that appear to stand out with helping to relate and work through life's challenges.
