Great to meet you!

My name is Adrian Camacho, and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles County and working with clients within the state of California via telehealth. My approach centers on empathy, listening, and using evidence-based techniques to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives. I work with clients ages 18 and over and specialize in stress, anxiety, and depression, using psychodynamic therapy, attachment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, built on trust, understanding, and a shared commitment to growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of the clients I work with. As a therapist, I most frequently use psychodynamic therapy, attachment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to offer a more holistic approach to understanding and treating clients. Exploring the Unconscious, Insight into Early Relationships, Healing Relationship Wounds, Changing Negative Thought Patterns, and Skill Building can create a more personalized and comprehensive treatment plan for clients focusing on uncovering the roots of current difficulties, addressing relational and emotional healing, giving clients practical tools to manage their current symptoms while working through deeper issues.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where they’ll have the space to share their story and the challenges they’re facing. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought them to therapy, as well as their goals for treatment. I’ll explain my approach to therapy and answer any questions they have about the process. While it’s more about understanding their background and setting the stage for future sessions, I also want clients to feel heard and supported right from the start. The session will be a mix of exploration and establishing a foundation for trust and collaboration.
