Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Adrian Chavira, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and a EMDR certified therapist. My path to becoming a therapist wasn't traditional. I began working in criminal justice system as a corrections STAR officer and later became a victim advocate at a local non-profit community center. These experiences gave me a raw look at human resilience. Today, I use that experience to help my clients master their mental health. I focus on supporting clients of all ages dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Addictions.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic treatment approach is designed to help individuals manage mental health concerns, emotional challenges, and life stressors by changing unhealthy thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. I provide a safe, confidential space and listen mindfully, in order to share meaningful insights into human behavior. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) as my main treatment approaches.

What you can expect from me

During counseling sessions, my clients learn personalized skills to help them navigate and grow through life’s transitions. I help clients aim to enhance their emotion recognition abilities through body-based practices while incorporating a variety of coping strategies.
