Great to meet you!

With nearly a decade of experience in social work, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds across a wide range of life stages, including adolescents and adults navigating young, middle, and later adulthood. Throughout my career, I have supported clients facing complex challenges related to mental health, substance use, medical conditions, grief, and major life transitions.

One area of particular passion is helping individuals navigate grief and loss. Through both individual and group counseling, I have had the opportunity to support clients as they process loss, build resilience, and rediscover meaning during difficult times.

I believe that every individual brings a unique story, perspective, and set of strengths into therapy. My goal is to create a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. One of the most important aspects of therapy is creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self.

I approach therapy with genuine curiosity and strive to understand your unique experiences, values, and worldview. Together, we will explore how these perspectives influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying practical strategies to help you overcome current challenges and achieve your personal goals.

My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), to help you develop insight, strengthen coping skills, build confidence, and foster lasting self-efficacy. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I work alongside you to create an approach that best supports your growth and well-being.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and my goal is to make the first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our initial meeting, we'll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, exploring your personal history, and identifying the goals you hope to achieve.

I understand that sharing personal experiences can feel vulnerable, so I prioritize creating an atmosphere of trust, respect, and acceptance where you can move at a pace that feels right for you. The first session is not about having all the answers—it's about beginning to build a therapeutic relationship and gaining a deeper understanding of your unique experiences.

Together, we'll develop a plan that reflects your needs, strengths, and values. As therapy progresses, my goal is to equip you with practical tools, effective coping strategies, and greater self-awareness so you can navigate life's challenges with increased confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of empowerment.
