Adriana Alvarez

Hello, and welcome to my profile.

My name is Adriana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with my masters in Social Work. I’m a Bay Area native, and a first-generation Mexican American woman. I have several years of experience working with children and families. From counseling San Francisco high school students, to working with the superior court mediating high-conflict co-parenting issues. I feel most passionate about working with youth and families. Additionally, I have over 20 years of social work experience and have completed various trainings on working with diverse populations to further my skill set and provide quality services to my clients.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and open-minded. I truly believe my clients are the experts in their own lives, so I listen with a non-judgmental ear. I create a safe space where my client can share what feels most important in their lives. My goal is to offer a place my client can feel empowered and heard, while we collaborate on making meaningful changes in their lives.

My client can expect their first session with me to be focused on us getting to know one another and creating a trusting therapeutic environment. Most importantly, my goal is to make my client feel safe and understood.
