Great to meet you!

I'm Adriana (“Adry”) Sanders, LPC-S, a bilingual (English/Spanish), trauma-informed therapist offering online, individual therapy in Texas for (18+) specializing in helping clients untangle generational patterns, heal relationship wounds, and reconnect with their sense of worth. Many of my clients are adult children of immigrants, eldest daughters carrying invisible burdens, or high-achieving professionals facing burnout and identity conflicts. Working with me means stepping into a space where your experiences are honored and your healing is led at your pace. Together, we’ll explore how your past shaped your survival patterns, strengthen your boundaries, and regulate your nervous system so you can thrive—in relationships, in your work, and within yourself.

My approach to therapy

I integrate Attachment-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills through a culturally attuned lens to support you in understanding the mind-body connection. This allows you to recognize patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. By processing past hurts without shame, you can create new patterns rooted in self-trust. My work is values-centered, meaning we’ll connect your healing process to what matters most to you.

  • Attachment-Focused Therapy helps us explore how early relationships shaped your beliefs about connection, safety, and worth—so you can develop healthier, more secure ways of relating to yourself and others.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself, especially those shaped by trauma, cultural expectations, or survival roles.
  • Polyvagal Theory focuses on regulating your nervous system so you can move from a constant state of stress or shutdown into a place of safety, connection, and emotional balance.
  • DBT Skills provide practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication—so you can respond to challenges with clarity instead of reactivity.

Whether you’re navigating grief, relational trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions, I aim to help you reduce stress, foster emotional resilience, and heal the mind-body connection—so you can live in alignment with your values and experience a fuller, more authentic life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to walk away from sessions with real-world tools, deeper self-awareness, and a stronger sense of emotional stability. You’ll gain strategies for calming your nervous system, setting and honoring boundaries, and challenging unhelpful thought patterns. As a visual learner, I offer handouts, worksheets, and exercises to support your progress between sessions—so you have something tangible to refer back to as you integrate what we discuss.

Our work will help you understand how your past—family dynamics, cultural expectations, and survival roles—shaped the way you see yourself and others, and how to rewrite those patterns. Expect real conversations, powerful insights, and moments of laughter, tears, and transformation. Together, we’ll co-create a space where you can finally breathe, feel, and come back home to yourself. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, validated, and equipped with steps you can take between sessions to align your life with your values and feel more grounded, connected, and authentically you.
