Great to meet you!

Maybe your life looks fine on paper, but something feels off and you can't quite explain why. Often it's because you're living by beliefs and "shoulds" you never actually chose, and fear has been quietly running the show. I believe that true healing begins with awareness and working together will look like exploring the stories you've been handed about who you should be, what you're allowed to want, and what happens if you disappoint people. Together we'll sort out which beliefs are truly yours, look honestly at the fears keeping you small, and practice the scary stuff: setting boundaries, saying no, asking for more, and choosing you! I work best with adults in their late 20s through early 40s who are motivated, ready to break old cycles, and ready to stop living on autopilot.

My approach to therapy

I am 100% myself in sessions which means I can bring humor, and I will also lovingly call you out. If you want someone to nod along, I'm not your therapist. If you want someone who will challenge the narrative, cheer you on, and hold you accountable to the life you say you want, let's talk! I have been in practice for 10 years and throughout this time I have built my skills as a systems based therapist. This means I look at things outside of yourself to see what can be causing harm, discomfort, and stopping you from living the life you want to live. I use a combination of system based approaches including narrative therapy (what are the stories you tell yourself), solution focused therapy (when has something worked and how can we replicate this), relational therapy (how do your relationships impact you), and attachment based therapy (how do you form attachments with others, beliefs, and objects).

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a 60 minute window where I "get to know you more" and review confidentiality and what therapy looks like. I usually will give my clients the lead and will follow your story while you tell me about what is currently going on in life as well as some information about the past. Don't know where to start? No problem I will ask questions to assess how we can move forward and how I can best support you in your journey. There is no pressure to tell me things you aren't ready to talk about as building a trusting relationship can take time. Before our time ends we will set a couple of goals that you have for your time in therapy and I will answer any questions for you.
