Great to meet you!

I know what it’s like to feel caught between cultures—navigating deep family ties while yearning for individuality. Growing up in a collectivist, working-class Hispanic family in small-town Texas, I often felt torn between loyalty to tradition and the pull to forge my own path. I understand the exhaustion of carrying expectations that don’t quite fit, the shame of wanting something different, and the isolation of forging your own way. But I also know that healing is possible.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas, specializing in working with BIPOC adults (18+) who are navigating the complexities of identity, family expectations, and intergenerational trauma. My approach integrates EMDR and relational-cultural therapy to help clients process past experiences, break free from limiting narratives, and build a sense of inner safety. Therapy is a space to reclaim your voice, confront limiting narratives, and create a life that aligns with your true self. Together, we’ll explore the stories that have shaped you and work toward self-acceptance, connection, and inner safety.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, culturally attuned, and trauma-informed. I believe healing happens in safe, supportive relationships where you can explore your experiences without fear of judgment. Using EMDR, IFS and relational-cultural therapy, I help clients process past wounds, challenge internalized narratives, and build a stronger connection to their authentic selves.

Many of my clients are BIPOC adults navigating the tension between family expectations and personal growth. I understand the unique challenges of being a cycle-breaker—struggling with guilt, loyalty, and the weight of cultural roles. In our work together, I provide a space where you don’t have to choose between honoring your roots and embracing your individuality.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s "wrong" with you—it’s about uncovering the systems and stories that have shaped you, understanding how they impact your well-being, and creating new ways of relating to yourself and others. My goal is to help you feel seen, empowered, and capable of forging a path that feels true to you.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect me to be a collaborator on their healing journey. I will offer and invite for deeper reflection and check in with you along the way to ensure you are getting what you need.

You’ll gain tools to navigate difficult emotions, set boundaries without guilt, and rewrite the narratives that no longer serve you. Over time, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of yourself—your needs, values, and strengths—so you can show up in your life with more confidence and clarity. Most importantly, therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. You’ll have the support to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.
