Great to meet you!

I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals who are seeking healing and change. Anxiety, depression, panic symptoms, OCD, relationship issues, and communication challenges are all areas where I can be most effective working with my patients.

I have been working in the field since 2003 and opened my private practice in 2013 after becoming licensed. I became specialized in TEAM-CBT in 2018 and with individual adults, EAP clients, first responders, and university and post-graduate students since .

In my free time I love to exercise, cook, walk my dog, and spend quality time with my son and husband.

My approach to therapy

In my practice, I use TEAM-CBT, created by psychiatrist Dr. David Burns, which is an evidenced-based approach with empathy as the starting point. It uses various techniques, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), to achieve therapeutic success using a collaborative approach between therapist and patient. The steps include: Testing, Empathy, Agenda setting/Acceptance, and Methods. This cognitive method is a powerful approach to treating anxiety and depression, relationship issues, and communication challenges.

In treating panic, OCD, and phobias, I use ERP (Exposure Response Prevention) which is an empirically validated treatment that offers tremendous results and change.

What you can expect from me

I'm passionate about working with adults who are driven to see change in their mood, feelings, relationships, or habits and who are ready to work collaboratively to meet their goals. I find using TEAM-CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with clients makes it possible to reach the desired outcomes more quickly and effectively.

Embarking on a journey of self-improvement through the process of therapy is a profound experience. I am honored to have an opportunity to work together with you to help you meet your personal goals for growth and change.
