I am a licensed independent clinical social worker. Prior to starting The Therapy Space, I was the director of an outpatient therapy clinic that serviced over 300 diverse clients as well as in my own private practice. Now, as the founder of The Therapy Space, I utilize my clinical expertise and work experience to help individuals achieve their goals. Some of my credentials includes an Associates Degree in Chemical Dependency, Bachelor of Arts Psychology and a Master in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston. I have served as a Board Director for a large psychiatric hospital, as well as Executive Director of an Outpatient Counseling Program, a patient advocate and human rights officer, a program manager for adults with developmental disabilities, a program manager for a school based program, and an applied behavioral analysis counselor.
My passion is to guide individuals to achieve overall emotional well-being. My clients tend to feel relief quickly, as I focus on providing you with evidence-based tools. I will help you to gain insight into your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. I use a variety of theoretical frameworks, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-focused therapy, and psycho education.
My approach to everything that I do is to be as real as I can be. Whether I’m working with an individual in a therapy session, with friends and family, or working with a multidisciplinary team of coworkers I’ve never been someone who is good at faking it. What you see is what you get. I hold myself to the same standards to which I hold my clients—authenticity and honesty are essential. I provide my clients with an accurate reflection of what I see and a professional assessment of how they might do things differently. I will challenge you to think critically about the choices you make and the impact those choices are having on your life.
