Great to meet you!

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely comfortable, understood, and accepted. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can talk openly about the challenges they’re facing.

I have worked in the mental health field since 1996 and have experience supporting teens, adults, and families through life transitions, grief and loss, relationship stress, caregiver stress, and many of the emotional challenges that can arise throughout different stages of life.

While therapy can involve difficult conversations, I also believe humor, authenticity, and human connection can be important parts of the healing process.

I currently offer teletherapy appointments for clients located in Virginia.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and empowering. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, and my role is to help clients better understand themselves while developing practical tools to manage stress, emotions, relationships, and life’s challenges.

I tailor therapy to each individual’s needs and draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and solution-focused strategies.

My goal is to help clients feel supported while also building insight, confidence, resilience, and healthier coping skills that can be used outside of sessions

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

There is no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you feel comfortable sharing. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and able to move at a pace that feels right for them. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the process.

Together, we’ll begin identifying goals, strengths, and practical strategies that can help you feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.
