Adrienne Voltaire

Adrienne is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Advanced Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of New York. She has over 15 years of experience working in the realms of education, social services, government, and non-profit management. She has practiced in schools, chemical dependency programs, and outpatient mental health clinics, providing services to people from all walks of life. She proudly identifies as a person in recovery.

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, implementing a variety of methods and modalities according to the needs of each individual I work with. My practice is person-centered and strengths-based. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, as well as mindfulness practices and the components of positive psychology.

I believe that every person has the ability to heal. It is my job to listen, understand, and help guide my clients toward achieving their goals. I believe that laughter can mend the deepest wounds and I bring a natural levity to even the most dire of situations and circumstances. My ultimate purpose is to leave the people I work with feeling better.
