Great to meet you!

My name is Aela (pronounced "Ayy-Luh") and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 2022 and have worked in various practice locations from community-based mental health clinics to group practices. I have specialized experience with individuals who have been through deeply traumatic experiences; those who've survived human trafficking, interpersonal violence, or identity-based traumas. I am also skilled in crisis intervention techniques and am currently working towards certification in CAMS-care, which is focused on suicide interventions.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic approach to my practice; I believe that you know yourself best, that you are the expert in your own experience, and that I’m here to walk with you and help you build the tools for your own success. In the spirit of seeing you as an expert in your own experience, I believe that choosing the evidence-based modalities that fit your needs is what matters most. I utilize a blend of therapeutic approaches including DBT, TF-CBT, Narrative, Brainspotting, and Mindfulness-based practices that help develop coping skills, build resilience, and create long-term positive changes.

What you can expect from me

I specialize in working with those who want to build a better future for themselves and who want to move from "surviving" to "thriving."
